Four Steps From Evaluation to Fixed Teeth
Your treatment begins with a full clinical exam, a low-dose CBCT scan, and a digital impression. We map your bone anatomy, sinus position, and nerve pathways in three dimensions to confirm same-day loading is safe and predictable for your case before we ever pick up an instrument.
Using CBCT data, Dr. Bublik virtually places each implant for ideal angulation, depth, and prosthetic support. A custom surgical guide and provisional bridge are fabricated in advance so the day of surgery is precise, efficient, and exactly what we rehearsed.
Remaining failing teeth are gently removed and four to six implants are placed under IV sedation in a single visit. Most patients describe the experience as far easier than they expected — they go to sleep, the surgical work is completed, and they wake up to begin the next phase.
Before you leave, a fixed temporary bridge is secured to your new implants. You walk out with teeth — not a flipper, not a removable denture. After 3 to 6 months of healing, the temporary is replaced with your final, permanent zirconia restoration.
Same-Day Smile Is Powerful, But It Isn't for Everyone.
Same-day loading works because the implants are placed with enough initial stability — measured in real time during surgery — to support a fixed bridge immediately. That requires healthy bone, controlled medical conditions, and a treatment plan built around your specific anatomy. It is most often the right answer for patients facing terminal dentition, advanced periodontal disease, or years of frustration with failing crowns, bridges, and partial dentures.
It is not always the right answer. Heavy uncontrolled smoking, uncontrolled diabetes, severe bone loss, or certain medications can compromise immediate loading. How long does the surgery actually take?
For a single full arch, plan on a surgical day of roughly 3 to 4 hours from arrival to discharge — including IV sedation onset, extractions, implant placement, and seating of your fixed provisional bridge. For both arches, expect a longer day. You will be sedated and comfortable throughout.
Will I really leave with teeth the same day?
Yes — that is the entire point of the protocol. Before you go home you will have a fixed, screw-retained provisional bridge attached to your new implants. It is not removable, it functions like teeth, and it is what you will smile and speak with during the healing phase.
Is this the same thing as All-on-4?
All-on-4 is one common technique used to deliver a same-day smile, typically for a full upper or lower arch. Same-day smile is the broader category — depending on your anatomy and bone, we may use four, five, or six implants per arch. Your surgical plan is built from your CBCT scan, not from a marketing name.
How long until I get my final permanent teeth?
